Installing Trainz 2010

Hi Guys

The files are all in the same folder. The setup.exe runs fine until it gets to installing then a pop up comes up asking for the next disc. Please insert disc 1.then it goes on 'if the files on the disc are in a different folder to the one shown enter the correct path or click browse'

When I click ok an error popup comes up and says' The file 'setup .exe1a.bin' could not be located in' C:folder.'Please insert the correct disc or select another folder.
At this stage I cancel the installation as there is no other folder. I am now stumped.

Here is an example that's in the folder. Next to the VLCcone logo. Setup-1a Appart from the setup file the others are the same except for the amount of KB's.
VLC media file(.bin)
1,528,886 KB

Am I correct in assuming that the downloaded files should not be VLC media and if so I hope that the above helps you to sort out what has gone wrong.
I am using XP pro service pack 3.

The important things here are:

1.Make sure the setup.exe and the .bin files are in the same folder.
2.Make sure the files are named as follows:

setup.exe
setup-1a.bin
setup-1b.bin
setup-2a.bin
setup-2b.bin
setup-3a.bin

Don't worry about the icon as that will not affect the installation.

Hello Shane

I have done what you suggested. I created a file called Trainz 2010. From my original post I renamed the bin files as per your reply and tried the installation again with the same result as before.
Setup-1a
VLC media file(.bin)
1,528,886 KB

Putting the .bin in the first line creates a double .bin because VLC puts a .bin on the line underneath the setup-1a, which can't be deleted. So,although the logo might not matter I presume the double .bin does? I am open to any more suggestions you may have.

Hello Shane

I removed the .bin from the first line no difference. I also noticed that I only have 5 files and not 6 like in you first reply. no setup-3a.bin?
