Increasing the Traffic Flow?

Good Afternoon All--

I use lay down a long stretch of highway, and I would like to increase traffic on it -- I know, I know, you click for more splines, etc to add -

However, if there a way to add more traffic to the spline via config file?

You can increase the rate but not the maximum total carz on the route.
