Inactive Route

What causes a route to become inactive in content manager? The route was removed from my playlist in Driver as well.

There are a couple of possibilities.

Are you a Trainz Plus subscriber?

If you're subscription hasn't been renewed, then DLC routes and other content will be disabled and removed until you renew your subscription.

If not, then there's something else going on with your data.

Your Trainz install crashed and now your route and session are left open for editing. To repair this, go into Content Manager and search for your route name. If it shows Open for editing, select and right-click on it and choose Submit.

You will want to check your session here as well.

If the route is faulty, then there's something else going on.

Right-click on the route and choose View errors and warnings. Sometimes, doing this will verify the data and your route will be okay and appear again.

If all else fails, run a database repair.
Click on the Developer menu located at the top of the Launcher and Content Manager.
Choose Rebuild Database

This will run for a time and when it's finished, start Trainz and see if your route and session have appeared.

Thank you for your reply ..

Yes I'm a Gold member and have been for a few years now. To give you a bit more info, the route I was working on was one that I was to test. I cloned the route after testing, and I was investigating things and changing some assets around.

The route did crash on me a couple of times, then the next day I went to open it, and it was missing from surveyor.

It is still installed in the data folder, but has the (inactive) beside it. The sessions are in the same condition (inactive). I have done all those you suggested with no luck in figuring this out.

Okay. If the route is set to inactive and is a clone, then the route is a clone of one of the DLC routes. It's possible that the DLC route is corrupted and needs to be downloaded again.

Since your session is also based on the DLC route, it's possible that too has been disabled.

That could be .. there was definitely something in the route the game wasn't liking. Many ... many different assets used in the route.
