Importing From Earlier Versions

I have a rather large and elaborate map I am working on in Trainz Virtual Railway (version 1.3) after having not used it for a couple of years. I have just discovered I can no longer access the download station without buying a first class ticket because this version is no longer supported. I lost all of the content I downloaded before when I formatted my hard drive a while ago and hadn't backed up the Trainz files properly.

A couple of questions.

1. If I buy a first class ticket will I be able to download rolling stock from later versions of Trainz to use in v 1.3? (for example I'd like to get Virgin pendolinos and more modern EMU trains with recent livery if possible)

2. If I buy a newer product like TS 2009 (supported for another 3 years), will I be able to open/import my map without any problems? Not my preferred option at the moment as my PC will struggle with the hardware requirements but I can get it for less than a 6 months first class download ticket (and I'll probably upgrade my PC in the next year or 2 anyway).

1- Content is not usually backwards compatible.
2-You should be ok importing a route. Make sure your system is more than the recommended (not minimum) specs or it's liable to shape like a 3 legged dog at a race meeting.
