ID key help and online acess

hello first off i want to say i'm sorry if this is in the wrong thread.

i just bought Trainz 12 on steam they gave me an ID key but i cant seem to find where to enter it, i am also having trouble getting it to allow me online so i can get updates or play with friends and get some more steam engines can anyone help me figure this out as i'm new to Trainz?

Your account is showing that you have registered your serial number in your account, and as such you should now have access to the online functions within Trainz. Steam will have automatically entered your serial number into Trainz itself, so you should not need to do this.

However, please ensure that you have entered your Planet Auran account's login details (these will be the same details as you use to log into these forums) into Trainz. This is done by clicking on 'options' on the launcher screen, then going to the tab marked 'Planet Auran', then entering your login details, then click on 'ok'.
