i want my money back from trainz 2010

Hi,

does the order form have two choices to choose from, either downloadable or disk version?

When I did the order there were two separate descriptions & buttons.

Having written that, I did pre-order the wrong 2009 version. On notifcation to the help desk (pre release) they were kind enough to change it for me.

I agree that if he's only been waiting a week or two then perhaps he should wait a little longer and contact Auran somehow.

However, if he's been waiting 5 or 6 weeks (or more) and hasn't received any information, and Auran have taken the money from his account, then I agree with him posting it in a thread.
If this is the case, he's not the first person to do so lately, and unfortunately, it seems the only way to get a response from either a Mod or from Auran.

Seeing as he still hasn't said how long he's been waiting, we still don't which applies to him.

As for "crashing onto your screen", if you don't like a thread, don't read it!
If I open a thread in a tab because it sounds like something I might want to read, and then discover it's not what I'm interested in, I simply close the tab and move onto the next thread.
I've never been forced to read a thread I didn't want to because the decision is mine.

Smiley.
I'd rather get a ferund and buy the BOXED copy, the Download version "F"ed up on me.

"Waitin" too

I ordered my copy Dec 22nd 09, they said its pending, been trying to get a response from them, but I don't think that's gonna happen, so I'll just have to wait and see what happens...cool your jets Train20 lets see whats goin on

Hi Train20,

A few years ago I also ordered Trainz by Auran. As an oversees customer it took more than one month when it got actually delivered. When you are a EU citizen, it is very good possible that one of those weeks, it will be delivered at your doorstep.

I have no negative experiences according deliveries and payments with Auran. I solved the issue by downloading option but you have to make sure your internet subscription can cover more than 5 GB of file size.

A good internet shop always replace or make up for lost deliveries. I sure Auran is no exception.

I hope you will receive your Trainz 2010 soon. Have fun!

Friendly greetings,

Yes, the order form did have two different choices which is why I contacted the helpdesk back then. I'd already ordered both TS2004 and 2006 the same way, and had no problem.
Anyway, now that I've vented, I feel so much better. Thanks for the support all.
It'll probably be a month before I finish my computer, but when I do, I'm sure the past problems will all disappear to make room for new ones.
I have to be honest, I like operating, as opposed to building, so I'll be looking for finished European layouts. The metra here in the Chicago area just doesn't do anything for me. I always enjoyed riding the rails when stationed and on vacation in Europe. So that's what I plan on getting into with the new versions.

Hi,

I can really recommend the Settle & Carlisle add on (there's a version with 2010) - the add-on is significantly more impressive - even jsut watching!

Colin

Thanks,
I'll check it out Settle route.
I always remembered the switching yard in Cambridge back about 1970. I was so impressed with it I actually took pictures, which one day I will scan into my confuser.
I spent 3 years in the Ipswich area and used the train quite a bit before I bought a car. Also used the train in other countries in western europe. I guess that's how we get interested in model trains though. And it NEVER NEVER goes away. Just ask my wife.

I ordered Trainz 2010 on 2/7 and didn't hear anything until I received this email on 2/10: "We are pleased to announce that the following products have been shipped, and should be with you in approximately 3 days - 3 weeks: * Trainz Simulator 2010: Engineers Edition Thank-you for your support and we hope you continue to visit www.auran.com for all the latest products, updates and patches. Auran Helpdesk (http://support.auran.com)"

I also had delay problems getting access to this forum - unusual for a software company, I think.

I think they're running 3 days behind now.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the actual shipping time. No mention of the "free" Trainz 2006 copy, offered with the purchase, "while supplies last".

Follow Up Shipping Note

FYI - I received my copy of TS2010 and the bonus RS2004 by mail a couple days ago. That was 7 working days from order to delivery, Australia to Florida, US.

Installed no problem and, after a quick mouse adjustment, works like a charm!

Well done, Auran.

Dissatisfied with Auran

I ordered TS 2010 last December, it was never shipped. And I never was able to have Auran credit my Visa account with a refund. I finally contacted Visa who willingly "gave" me my money back. I also reordered TS 2010 in January. I have never received it either. I was emailed that it was being "made" in the states and will hbe shipped in 2 weeks. That was 6 weeks ago. I shll not make the same mistake a third time.

I was going to say that it was good thing you got your money back. But then you say you turn around and send it again. If you don't get it this time, don't say anything here. Too embarrassing.

Auran informed me that the reason the first wasn't shipped was because of a screwup on their web site when it was ordered, hence the second order. Never jump to conclusions without knowing the facts.
