How does one go about using this portal on the routes on their computer? I have heard that you can exchange consists between routes on your computer. I have just dl the iPortalTunnel <kuid2:30671:23500:1>. What is the set up procedure for the routes.

You have to name the IPortals on both of your routes ... and using the " ? " select and type in the details, where and how you want trains to emerge on each route.

Basicly ... I have a staging yard route ... where I can open that route ... and select to drive a consist to another routes IPortal ... then when it dissapears into the IPortal, you close that route ... and when you open up your other route, the sent consist will emerge ... you can also send you consists back to the staging yard route, without opening it.

Iportal set up.
Give it a name (such as DAR1 like mine)
Give it a ID (dar1)lower case is better.
Send to user (your name) in this case
Destination iportal ID (the ID of the iportal on your other route)
Send trains (in this case would be within this computer)
Check for trains (I set this to 60 minutes)this way the train will not come out until you click Create Train or after 60 minutes the train will emerge.
Drive mode after create (leave this to manual)the train will stop after it emerges from the iportal.
NOW make sure you have en-ought track for the train to emerge from before it reaches it first signal or switch.

Ok guys, thanks loads. I have set it up and I have sent & received consists. A couple of questions: I tried using the portal mgr v3 to take control of the train once it arrives with no luck. Is there a method to just sending consist without the loco, as in using the portal as an interchange track?

What I am attempting is to use one route as a staging/class yard that receives consists, classify the consists and build & reload with protlars, new trains and resend back via the portal to different I Portals

Iportal

I don't know of a way to do what you want.
But if you like you could join us in iportaling over the Internet.
Send us your loaded cars and we send them back loaded with something else or empty.
Add ct_krogen & myself to your chat in trainz. Contact us when you see us on Trainz.
We all the time iportaling to each other. Mostly at 430 pm to around 9 pm EST USA. COME JOIN US.
Add the emit train now so we can see if we have the same rolling stock. <kuid2:117746:990:4>
Giving us your iportal(s)IDs we will beable to send trains to your yard or the route you use.
