My next computer build project.

After 2 yrs of running HP and Dell, crap, I'm going back to custom built pc's. I'll be running Battlefield 3 and TS12 on this. Let me know what you guys think!

Intel Core i7 2600k @ 3.4Ghz
Gigabyte Z68A-D3-B3
Asetek 510LC Liquid cooling
8 Gigs or 2000Mhz Corsair :udrool:
Nvidia 590GTX(probably liquid cooled, and will be superclocked by yours truley)
Nvidia 450GTS dedicated Physx card
Xtreme Gear 800Watt PSU
300gb velocitrapter 10,000rpm OR 256GB SSD
BlueRay burner
Creative Labs Audigy sound card,

and to finish it off, Corsair surround sound, all for about $2500
 
The advantage to a computer like that is that unlike a wife or a girlfriend, you can always turn it "off".:hehe:
 
I was told the AMD processors are more efficient then Intel, but who knows... you might consider bumping it up to 12 Gig Ram for BF3

Possibility... The only thing about that, is I'm really curious as to the 2000Mhz on the ram. Right now I have 8gigs of 800. oouch. I might, I just want to keep it about 1600Mhz, I'll play bf3 hours on end, guaranteed :cool:

I think they would have starved no matter what the OP had bought or even if he had not bought anything. It's a noble thought but there is a difference in practical solutions and starry eyed idealism and knowing the difference is not easy.
