I have had reports from the comminty that the DES SD70s fans do not animate please read this.
After many hours of trial, and error. I tested on 3 different high end Desktop PCs, window 10-64, & Windows 11.
RTX 3080s. I have verified that there are issues with the (TFX) Jointed Rail Train Effects libraries.
Jointed Rail Settings library Debug is always turned on for all of these tests.
<kuid2:45324:555246:8> Jointed Rail Train Effects library v 1.47 Breaks the Driver Notifications, No Compressor sounds, and no SD70 top radiator fans animations.
The awesome assets JR's animated Fans installed on the SD70s are made to be automatic by the Locomotive engine loads.
<kuid2:45324:555246:7> Jointed Rail Train Effects library v 1.46d (builtin), Driver Notifications are working with this Jointed Rail & the Train Effects library v 1.46d (builtin), Yes Fan animations according to the Driver Notification Temps at 170 first fan turns on, 2nd Fan turns at at 190 degrees. The Fans shut off when the temps are down to 170 degrees.
The Compressor sounds are also working with these 2 buitin assets.
The Built in Jointed Rail (TFX) Train Effects library, yes Driver Notifications, yes Compressor and air sounds.
Working perfectly in Trainz build 122411 & 123794 has to be the builtin versions, updated new versions of the TFX Library & Rail Settings Library do not work, and break the Driver Notifications and Engine Temps, no Compressor sounds.
The Driver Notifications and engine Temps are back, working Compressor sounds, working animated top radiator fans.
<kuid2:45324:555201:2> Jointed Rail Settings library v 0.5 (builtin) V3.7 Good!
<kuid2:45324:555246:7> Jointed Rail Train Effects library v 1.46d (builtin) V5.0 Good!
Trainz build 122411, 123794 and later builds.
No Driver Notifications, no Compressor sounds.
<kuid2:45324:555246:8> Jointed Rail Train Effects library v 1.47 (broken)
<kuid2:45324:555201:4> Jointed Rail Settings library v 0.7 (broken)
I forgot to mention why when stopping the Locomotives there are no braking squeal sounds?
Only sometimes they work, but mostly never.
