I fear, this is the end of my Trainz journey...

Strange that because before i started using Win 7 64, i used to run Trainz on Vista 32 & 64. Without any problems at all.

So how you can make that sweeping statement about Vista being crap, is beyond me.

I say it after helping friends who were not very computer-literat who bought new laptops with Vista pre-installed. There were endless problems trying to get these machines to work and perform properly.

The upside was all the free coffee and dinners I had.....

Snip...........I am glad you are 1 out of 1,000,000,000 windows users that find Vista is good, I am happy for you, but I do agree its one of the worst pieces of crap MS has ever released, Though ME is the worst over all in the history of Windows IMO.

Exactly, why do you think M$ went back and brought out SP3 for WinXP Pro? After they already stopped giving support for WinXP? Because most of ITs did not want this overloaded, under performing, crude, crashing often, piece of cr@p for their businesses, that is why.

I still don't get it why an Operating System has to have ALL bells and whistles anyone can ever think of added to it and than 10 tons more of cr@p added on most people are never ever going to use with an OS. No wonder with that much code in the OS, things are prone to go wonky.

Why the hell can't M$ bring out a bare bone Operating System where people can add to it whatever they require instead of an OS with (as said) trying to serve everyone but not helping anyone?

My gripe for the day :p.
