Do you get a glitch that does this?:

Then you may have to change your Display Setting.

For eg. DirectX to OpenGL or OpenGL to DirectX

What video card do you have? That might make the difference too.

its likely a deficiency in graphics to cause this, or some problem with the graphics card. i have seen similar on a card that was overheating a long time ago.
