Due to some black ice on the road yesterday as I was going to work, my car and myself tried to occupy the same Time / Space coordinates as an arboreal being and a side-of-the-road-mailbox....

Yeah....

Car is drivable, drivers side of the car looks like a mangled pop can, wiped out the mailbox, the tree is claiming whiplash and getting a lawyer....

I'm a bit sore and moving slow, but that is the worst of it....Unless you count the seat cover that needs replaced.

Still had a to work a 12 hour shift afterwards then go home....

Oooooh, that sucks. But it could have been worse. I hit black ice once and hit a concrete barricade, so I know the feeling! Take it light and I hope you get better soon. :)
 
I did the car/tree/same space thing once. I never though to try the black-ice excuse though......

Glad you're doing ok Chris. I haven't been through that but I have been in a couple accidents, but they were before I got my license. Still, hope you have a speedy recovery and I also hope you don't have any more situations like this.

I'm glad you are okay, and can still walk. I couldn't walk for a month after my bus accident a while ago. It is torture.

Then again, try not being able to walk at all...

:cool: I sideswiped a maple on a railroad rights of way(abandoned). I was backing through a mud hole...

The State of Tennessee rehabilitated the roadbed with track and killed the maple for me.
