Hi All: I just read an article from the Midwest High Speed Assoc..That a HSR plant is to be built in Wisconsin..Good idea what do you guys think??

Its a little more complicated than what your post says. Wisconsin DOT has teamed up with Amtrak and are buying Talgos for a Wisconsin train. The factory your talking about is for that. So Building the plant in WI makes sense.

There are many HSR plans being looked at in the midwest area. So far only 2 have funding and are being worked on. The Wisconsin Talgo plan & the Michigan HSR plan (upgrading track, not really HSR but enough for the gov't). Other plans include using TGVs and Shinkansens. So those would have their own plants built.
