how to use triggers

hello I wonder if anyone can help me .I have a route with buses and trolleybuses and there seems to be a problem when theses assets approach a junction mostly trailing points and they stop and I have to set the points manually to get the item to move on .Now I know there are triggers but when I click on them a blue blank note opens with nothing to activate a point only the trigger number. So can someone advise to what to use on approch with an asset to change the point to allow the passage of that asset automaticly ,I have used junction controller to work more that one point but I cannot see how to get a trigger to work the point in the favour of the approaching asset.I hope you understand what I mean .many thanks and all the best George

Under the driver commands there's a command you can add called "wait for trigger" that's really the only one I've ever used with a trigger. When that command is activated, when you're setting up the AI commands for that driver, if you select wait for trigger, it will allow you to choose the trigger number, and what train that it will take running through the trigger to activate that command and move on to the next.
