How to set height of vertex and rotation question

I have tried apply brush height and for some reason it work some of the time to set the height of a vertex but not all of the time. Don't understand this. Also is it possible to use the rotation in the tools option to set the rotation of object. That would be sweet but I can't get it work. Any ideas.

Thanks I had already read the online guide and found it lacking a lot of information.

I found it confusing too.

After setting the brush to ground-brush, click where it shows raise the terrain, and change that to set-height. You can then enter in a value in the terrain height box. Everything works like it does in Surveyor 1.0 after that.

To get height, go to the details at the bottom. Click on the small caret (arrow) and expand that out and you can get the height of the terrain and set that to your value that you can apply using the settings above.

Unfortunately, I'm not at my Trainzing PC to be able to provide any pics so hopefully my details plus the images in the user manual will help.

The height thing I figured out with some try and error. I can now rotate and fix height of vertexes which is a big plus and time saver. I still have not figured out how to paste the scrapbook yet but working on it. Over all Surveyor 2.0 is a big step forward but like anything can be better.

The scrap book takes a bit of getting used to. I've had some inconsistencies with that and I'm not sure if it's me or there's some bugs that need ironing out. I need to look at that a bit more and play around with it for a longer period before I report something that might not be a bug and just me being clumsy. There is one thing I did mention in the Surveyor 2.0 feedback thread on this subject. The tools for the scrapbook are under the "filter". The name filter is a misnomer here and it threw me off track. Shouldn't that be called Scrapbook options, or something else like that?

I'm glad you figured out the height thing. I found the tools for that a bit scattered and should all be in one place.

If anyone is following this thread you might know this but I found this by accident. To paste the scrapbook use Ctrl-D. Next challenge is how to fill marquee with texture.
Yes John the tool options and the info options are a bit confusing. Seem like they could have combined the two.
