How To Make A Horn Sound For Trainz?

Okay, I want to make a horn sound for a custom locomotive. It is a Leslie 3-Chime Super Typhoon. I have audio files from a video except there is one problem, I need to shorten the video to only play the 4-5 second horn sound.

Can someone tell me how to only get that part of the audio, and also how to export it into trainz?

Use a free program like Audacity or Wavepad to edit the sound file. I prefer and use Audacity, but to some the Wavepad interface is simpler and easier. Trim away what you don't want, make sure it's in MONO (i.e. one channel) or it won't sound correctly. Cut it up into the start and loop files and you're ready to go. There's a bit more to it, but I'm in a rush right now, PM me and I'll get back to you.
