Rename your loco in Surveyor so that you know how to find it in Driver. For instance you could name it according to the departure location. Or the running number.
In driver mode (or surveyor) if you go to menu - find object then click on the arrows either side of the top box you will find a tab containing consists if you go one way and vehicles if you go the other. This will greatly reduce the number of objects to go through and hopefully make it easier to find what you want.
