How to Install packs

Hi We are new to this, and have purcahsed a copy of TRS2004, I have been on here and downloaded the Mallard pack via ftp and have got a content dispatcher pack on the desktop, i have clicked this to extract however when we open up the game we cannot find this scenario. What are we doing wrong, can anyone please help, I am getting a very fustrated 8 year old. many thanks

Was that the "Drive Mallard Passenger" pack? If so, it's a layout and a driver session, not a scenario. Go into Driver, look for the "Drive a loco" layout, and under that you should see the "Drive Mallard Passenger" session.

The differences between sessions and scenarios are very confusing.

Apologies if it was something else you downloaded and therefore the above doesn't apply. Keep posting until you get a solution.

If you download a route, and a route alone; it will only appear in Surveyor until you enter it in Surveyor and place some trains on it. After that (assuming you save) you will then have a Session that will be selectable in Driver.

If you download a route and sessions, then it will be selectable immediately in Driver.
