How To Fix Missing or Shadow Plane Under Locos

Hey!

Wondering what the process is to fixing the missing shadow or the 'shadow box' under locos, that I presume are out of date, or not up to 19 level standards.

How would I go about fixing this? I have about 5 or so with this issue, and mostly are Dash 9s, which makes me think its all the same model.

Cheers!

Simple as removing the shadow files, or need a program to recompile without the shadow layer?

If your question is about how to remove the imitation shadow, then look in config.txt for the shadow mesh and delete it from the mesh table. Without knowing the kuid of the loco that you are referring to it is not possible to be more precise than that.

A normal shadow mesh you can remove or just ignore it as TANE and TRS19 ignore them anyway, for a plane that is a bit harder depending on how it was applied, as in a separate mesh or part of the main mesh.

The planes under the locos do look odd, probably a case of it worked OK before we had proper shadows.

Hmm, ya that made me think this was applied in the modeling stage, actual part of the model.

Wish uses the Dash 9s from SRS, and all the other SRS are also same issue. Was hoping this be easy to bang out, but as my thought process was I think correct, this is at the model level and not config. Looking around I did mess with this last year, and forgot about it. Last night I remembered I had this issue, and today finally got around to posting for help.

Deleted from mesh table and any mention of shadow, submit, test and all, still there.

Cheers
