How to edit the ECML route.

Hi

I am complete noob when it comes to surveyor! I only bought TS2010 as I heard the ECML line was nice to drive…which it is!

I am interested in playing around a little with this route. So far I have managed to change the time of day, weather etc. I also changed the start up options, train derailments to realistic.

I also see some start up rules regarding speed limits and some driver rules which show the list of train “names” in the session.

What I would really like to do is

- Disable warnings for speeding so I can go faster than 100mph in the 100mph area’s.
- Change the type of train from the HST 125 to something else.
- Drive the route in reverse, KK to York for example.

I did change “Adrain” to another train and tried that, I can actually drive the other train now but it is located in a siding somewhere. How do you actually change the type of train located at York station.

Can anybody help me with this stuff. I can’t really find a tutorial for the 2010 Surveyor functions.

Thanks

Iain

*BUMP*

80 views and nobody has any idea how to do these things...:(

I managed to change the speed limit. Although the 125 is so badly modelled it only reaches 107mph on a flat, 116 on a loooong downhill.

I would really like to know how to change the type of engine to drive to something else, maybe it is too hard to do?

Start Surveyor and select just the ECML route, not a session. Slew the viewpoint to KK and place a loco of your choice. Now save the session with a name that you chose. Go to Driver and manually drive to York, ignoring the speed limits. Enjoy:wave:

Dr watson. There is a good (small) section in the 2010 manual (manual on startup menu) on setting up a loco and driving it in DCC mode. Also the ecml tutorial has 4 locos waiting for trigger commands. Click on driver bottom left ans a list of waiting stock appears. Click on any of the driver images and it will take you to that engine. Use the zoom to see what it is better. Now click on the trigger commands and move it off the instruction label. the consist will begin to move if there is a red trackmark command. If not, press1 and drive it anywhere yourself. Don,t forget to watch the trackpoints to see they are set properly.J changes them ahead ctlJ changes behind.
