How to Download in TRS2009

Hello all. Sorry to ask such a noobie question, but how would someone with TRS2009 go about downloading Third Party Content? Does 09 have a newer version of CMP or do you just download the file and open it?

TRS2009 has a new version of CMP. CM2 (Content Manager 2).

Hi,

2009 comes with the CMP2.
If you're looking for something on the DLS, use the "search" facilities, highlight what you want then either right click & select "download" - or drag it to the download pane (you can use control + mouse click to select multiple items).

Once happy, click on the start button (note that the CMP2 will be searching for denendencies for a while).

If the file is offered on another website as a "CDP" type, then I would download it (usually right mouse click) to a folder on the hard drive, then use CMP2 file -> import CDP option.
If the file is an archive (*.zip or *.rar) then it will need to be unarchived before importing.

You can drag simply CDPs onto CM2 as well.

Hi Tony,

Just in case some of the DLS items have had some fixes applied, I downloaded 23,000 assets with corresponding dependencies using CMP 2.0 without a hiccup and committed them. CMP is really improved and works a lot more smoothly without intervention or monitoring. Thanks a lot! You really listened to our wishes.
