Is there a way to delete posts and replies on here cause there are several replies i made that i want gone as it reflects an issue i no longer have now and some of them have even been getting mass laugh reacted to, which i hate because it means that everyone who uses that reaction is mocking me for making those posts.

You can delete the contents of your own posts (but the posts themselves will remain showing just the name of the poster and the date of the post). Click the Edit link (bottom left of each of your posts), highlight and delete the contents then click the Save button.

You cannot delete the posts or replies of others because they are not yours.

Just because you no longer have the issue does not mean that no-one else has the issue or will not be interested in reading suggestions or solutions.

Welcome to the Internet. Here you will discover how easy it is to hit the Send or Post button without really thinking about what you have written and then spend ages (forever??) regretting the post and seeing the (sometimes cruel) reactions of others. Been there, done that many times.

But it you report your replies and say that you no longer want them up, the mods should be cautious enuff to delete them for the user reporting them. Also, that last part sounded a bit rude and unsympathetic to my problem. I've gotten 4 laugh react notification from DARTrider, Wowwowpow, and wayneshorter1965 today and it seems like editing the posts only seems to encourage more laugh reacts. And when people laugh react to serious posts, it means they're being rude and making fun of me for daring to make a post on a certain topic on a certain thread, which makes me feel bad. And i don't want to become one of those people who are never taken seriously and end up becoming hated by the entire site because of it. I've seen it before with other people on other sites and i don't want to end up like them.

I laugh reacted gimmiepig posts. I don't see why that's an issue.

@TrimetWESFan1003, it's not in good taste to go around asking content creators to make stuff for you. Even asking nicely while still providing demands (e.g. T:ANE compatibility, freeware, etc.) is also plain old rude and annoying.

I no longer even require a 1st gen E unit as i was able to find one on a site called [content pirating website]. And by the time you gave me that laugh react, i had already downloaded the E5. This is exactly the reason i wanted to delete all my old replies asking for E unit models so people like you and those other 2 don't go around mocking me for something that's not even relevant anymore.

[content pirating website] is a well-known spot around here, and not for good reason ...
You should know that when i was trying to find 1st gen E units i didn't know much about 3rd party sites as i was trying to keep my downloads to the DLS as much as possible. When i found the E6 and E3 models of trainz forge, i didn't know that trainz builds higher then 4.5 weren't compatible with TANE and i just assumed that those style of E units just didn't exist or had become lost media beyond the Forge payware/incompatible models, which prompted me to seek out known content creators to make models of them. I also haven't used this site much so i'm not very familiar with the conducts of the site.

OK, why are you reporting them? Is it just because you no longer need help on that issue? - in which case see my reply above. If the replies are offensive, and by that I mean rude, racist, homophobic, misogynistic, etc and not just hurting your feelings, then report them and if they violate the forum rules then they will be deleted.

What did you find offensive in that? It was advice I have given to many over years.

My take on this " gimme pig" thing is that if somebody NICELY asks a content creator if they could make something for them, then it should be taken as a compliment.
For example:
" Say pal, good buddy, I really like that ( whatever ) you made. Any chance of making me one that's green with little flowers on it ?
Answer " I'm very flattered that you'd ask me. Here's how this works... How much money do want to spend, your gonna play me up front, no refunds and I've got 22 projects already and I'll get to it when I can get to it.......We got a deal ?
"

Bingo ..... pay up or "nice talking to you ".......the end. Nobody gets bent out of shape.

Start paying the moderators and we will consider it.
We are volunteers and the last thing I am looking for it spending time deleting posts that people have 2nd thoughts about. Thinking before you post usually fixes that.

Note that I wrote "consider". We likely still won't do it, because of...
Just because you no longer have the issue does not mean that no-one else has the issue or will not be interested in reading suggestions or solutions.

So:
Don't waste moderators time by reporting posts that you no longer like.
Also don't waste your time trying to manually empty your posts as it takes only a few clicks for us moderators to restore the old content and that content might actually help out other members.

I think this topic has run it's course, so locking it.
