How to cleanup a cloned object

I have successfully cleaned up the "frisco" steam engine for TR2010 and would like to cleanup a few of the cloned objects made from this original engine.

The thing I do not understand is that in the original I have the actual .pm files to convert to .im files, but those do not exist in the cloned object.

Before I changed the config file to be in the TR2010 format the tender for one of the cloned engines did show up in railyards, but once I updated the config file, it no longer displays.

The only difference I see in the file structure is that the clones do not have the mesh files.

Should I be moving those files over into the cloned files or how do you cleanup cloned files?

The reason I call them clones is because the "reskin" tag is not on for these engines. They reference the origina I guess for the mesh files.

The original is the "Frisco" engine which is now working perfectly in TR2010 for me.

I hope I have explained my question correctly. I am not a builder, so I'm just trying to use existing tools to fix broken objects.

The tools I have used the most are PM2IM and QuickShadow. Not to overlook my editor used to fix the config file.

Yes, 2010 likes having the mesh files present in every model. If you have fixed the Frisco engine I'm thinking of, most of the variations were mine. Unfortunately I have not upgraded that content yet, so I cannot offer you any special insight. Your advantage is that you have one working, so strive to make all the others just like that one, being careful about the naming conventions. Ultimately you could just make copies of the original, inserting new texture maps, and only changing the kuid and the username, but leaving all the other files the same as the original.
This would suffice to allow you to have as many as you like with lttle effort.

Great, I'll work on doing that this week.

I looked on the DLS cleanup list and could not find the Frisco engine nor the FEC engine on the list, so I can't fix it for everyone I guess.

Should I remove the "aliase" from the copies since it does not aliase the mesh files then?
