how to change kuid number for maps?

hello i've got a map that i had done in TRS2010 & now i want to bring it over to TRS2012 but i've got new content on there thats the same kuid number i went to change the last to numbers in the kuid but when i go to commit it it errors out saying can't commit as the kuid number don't match how can i over come this?

Changing an asset's KUID cannot be done by simply opening the asset for edit, changing the KUID, then recommitting.

The folder created by the editing process must be copied to another location, then the asset needs to be reverted.

You can then change the KUID on the copied version of the folder, before using Import Content to put it back into Trainz.

Be aware that any sessions associated with it will also need to be changed.

so this see if i understand this right you are saying copy my layout from the folders not CM say on to my desktop then change the kuid in the config.txt then reverted the 1st main one then put the new rechanged kuid number one back in to CM ?

Correct - you will need to open the route for edit first in order to get the folder you need to copy.
