How messed up is your PC ?

If your PC is like mine it has 2GB RAM, and a 100GB hard drive, with integrated graphics (which is nice for TRS2006, but lousy for TS09 onward).

My Disc space it in the "Red Line" with only 6GB free space.

I regularly download by FTP and save thousands of CDP's in my PC Downloads folder.

My Downloads folder has grown to take up 1/3 of my disc space ... so I send these 10's of thousands of CDP's to my external Hard Drive, so as to free up space on my PC, and back them up on a recordable disc.

The same with my pictures, music, and videos, send the majority to an external hard drive, or back them up on a DVD/CD, R or RW disc, or memory stick.

I have become so fanatical that I even make special separate folders for BDaneal, NorfolkSouthern37, Davesnow ... etc ... and place all their thousands of CDP's in their folders ... I think I am becoming a miniature DLS ... lol

My "Local" folder is absolutely huge, (and I'm bragging about it's humongous size) !

I run DiscCheck, Optimize Disc, Disc Cleanup, and Disc Defrag ... but my PC disc is always becoming full !

Sometimes I have redundant zip files, that have already been opened, and it's contents CDP's are already installed in a sub-folder files on my PC, or external hard drive ... so I get rid of those un-needed redundant zip file folders.

I have Trainz on a dedicated 256 GB SSD with 160 GB used so far so I'm in pretty good shape. I have a 1TB HDD for storage and I have copies of my Local and Original Folders there, and they come in at about 145 GB. I don't have a lot of pictures or music stored on my computer, no movies at all, so that HDD has plenty of room. I don't keep the cdp's from downloads, I probably should but I guess I just live dangerously. I keep saying I should at least move the 2 backup folders to an external drive too, maybe someday I'll actually do it.
