How is it?

What a great idea! Can someone take screenshots of the new menu system, speedtrees, locos/rolling stock, and the new routes.

Thanks,
JRT

i'm posting a quick 30 sec clip of the new menu and i discovered there's achievements in this game, i don't know how they work just yet since i just got the game installed and it took forever to cache everything for the first run. I noticed the issue they mentioned about the SpeedTree on ATI cards

Edit: SpeedTree works fine when using DirectX settings and not OpenGL, however DirectX also causes the wheels to disappear after a while, an Issue i noticed in 2006

I managed to record a few clips for you guys

they finally fixed the crossing gate issue, the sound isn't always playing finally, and the gates go down when the train aproaches and then go up when the train is far enough away and the sounds stop. (Note: I'm coming from Trainz 2006)

*Sorry about the crappy quality, i threw these together quickly since i work in the morning and i never used YouTube to upload videos before*

To avoid any confusion or disappointment - there aren't any interesting achievements in the game as of the current time, which is why we haven't advertised this as one of the TS2010 features. The system is in place and we'll be introducing various fun achievements throughout the lifetime of TS2010.

Thanks

Would love to see more.. So far I am not convinced to buy it since I have railworks.. Maybe if I see some more..

I've already ordered my DVD version and I can't wait...

from the you tube videos, Trainz 2010 looks amazing, probably a few bugs need to be fixed here and there before going gold...

I did notice on one of the videos, the trees seem to be growing out of the ground and then they dissappear, to then they re-grow again, surely thay's not right... and also your engine hasn't got any wheels...

other than that, it looks really good...

What I would like to see is how long does it take for the barriers on the crossings to go down before the train arrives...

and also what does the HST 125 look like on the new East Coast Mainline...

If someone could please show us these, I'd be very grateful

Many thanks
