Would RRs have uniform standards as to how far cross bucks are away from tracks and how far away light posts are away from fences as in locomotive repair facilities?
I used my ruler tool for making sure light posts were evenly spaced along platforms at train stations. I also had to make sure the light posts were at a even
height as well.
I used the white line spline to make sure the lights were in a straight row.
I drive myself nuts making neatness count on my Trainz layouts.
Countless hours of massaging the ground with Topo tools and such.
Surveyor users are "virtual carpenters" and "virtual architects" and "virtual civil engineers".
We try to grade land like professionals, some of us.
