How do you keep up boiler psi?

Dear Community,

I was wondering how to keep up the boiler pressure in a steam locomotive in cab mode. The engine in paticular is UP 9000. It just seems the pressure drops and drops. I hit space to shovel in the coal, but nothing happens.
If it makes a difference I'm using TRS04.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi pic.

I think that if the loco has an engine config for TRS2004 it won't work very well in 2009. 2009 has a different way of stoking the boiler. You may be able to find a 2009 engine file on the DLS and replace the original engine file with a 2009 file. The most powrfull loco I can think of atm is billygulla's X class engine config but I don't think it would be powerfull enough for a 9000.
