That depends entirely on what hosting service you're using. As there are about 10,000 hosting services, I'll take a wild guess and say you're using webs.com. If I'm right (and I didn't look). it would see that you're not logged in. You're probably seeing what your visitors are seeing. If you log in. all should be okay - hopefully.

I am with webs but I ,m talking about how you add a link from the content to the website, I know how to access my website

In the config.txt file add a contact-website tag with the web site's URL as a literal string parameter in double-quotes, for example:

contact-website "http://www.joeblogsstrainzstuff.com"

If I remember right, Webs cannot store files or something, required an outside storage, and so I went with Yola. Normally you upload the CMP or Zip file of the asset to a folder in your site, then set link on the page to the file.

Before you edited your post, it said something entirely different. I answered what you originally asked.

On the Edit page, look for a symbol that looks like a chain link. If you don't know what I mean, begin replying to this post. On the second top row, the 11th item looks like planet earth with a chain link under it. The chain link itself is universal. In the webs classic editor, it's the third row (sixth item), on the new editor it's a yellow button in the toolbox called - Link

Highlight the text, click the button (both editors) and a box will appear. Enter the url of the web site you wish to link to.

The easiest way to do that is go to the web site and copy the address in the address bar. Tab back to the editor and paste the link.

I hope that's clear. I don't think John259's answer is entirely correct.

It's correct for TRS2004. I think that in CMP/CM2 you open the asset for editing, edit the config.txt file using Notepad (etc), then commit - but there might well be another way of doing it.

From this I assume that he's trying to create a link on his web site that will take people to Trainz content, which I also assume is on the DLS. Thus my answer would be correct - for the second time.

Now that we know what he wants (me thinks), it is actually a very good question because people who own web sites merely say "It's on the Download Station". How much better it would be for all, if they included a link as per my Wind Turbine example above. it only takes a moment.

It's such a good question in fact, I will write a tutorial tomorrow if I get time. If I get to do it, I'll post the link here.
