How do I update from Build 49922?

Whenever I begin running Trainz, it tells me I am out of date with 49922. How do I update it? I see a "service pack", and three "hotfix" posts. Do I need to use all four of these? Also, once I download whatever it is I am supposed to download, about how long does it take to install? I tried downloading and installing the "Service Pack." It downloaded fine, and began installing. It continued to install for over a half hour, when I finally stopped it, thinking there must be something wrong. Thank you for your help.

If you want the latest Trainz build, then yes you need SP1 and the hot fixes. That being said, you may want to do some reading before updating. While SP1 fixed some issues, it caused a host of others. I won't go into detail here, it's best if you do some research here on the forum. If you do upgrade, be aware SP1 can literally take hours to install, some report it taking 8 hours or even more. Many people report difficulties with SP 1 and the fixes, and others have had little or no problems with it. If you are happy with the way your game is running, don't rush to upgrade it. Learn what you can first.

You only need the 49922 to 58414 patch, however I'd strongly advise that you do this on a separate installation if possible due to the major changes (and also read the TS12 SP1 Bugs Thread as well). Also be aware that the SP1 patch can take up to and beyond 12 hours to patch.

From what you have said, I have decided to stay with Build 49922. It is not worth the risk to update. Thank you for your comments.

If you stopped the patching process you may have corupted your original install. Run some routes to make sure everything works.
