I have a pretty fast ISP high speed service...I think it is 3 MB ? I have no FCT, and downloading takes a good long while even with my high speed service...I would think that dailup would be the problem it you have faulty, or slow downloads. I, at one time had MSN Web-TV (3 of them), and at 56Kb it was SO slow it was absolutely C-R-A-W-L-I-N-G ! I used to pay $29.95 per month for dialup service, and I had no PC at the time. My phone landline bill was $56 in addition to dailup Webtv. Now I pay $54 for a package: unlimited long distance phone service with a pretty fast PC ISP high speed connection. But I still don't have cable TV, which would cost $99 per month for a high speed PC-Phone-Cable package. You get what you pay for.
Needless to say I don't watch much TV, with rabbit ear antenna, and a digital converted box, as the signal is really staticky.
