How do I convert and older route (pre-2009) to Train Simulator 12?

Hello,

I'm wondering about a simple question as I've never tried this before, but I was thinking of looking up an old pre-20009 route and trying to upgrade it to the current edition I have, the issue I am feeling is that there is no real converter to make the data on the Bards of the pre TRS2009 Layout be the same as the TS 12 layout

But any ideas or thoughts on how to do this would be apprciated..

There is no converter, all you can do really is import the route and then solve any problems when they arise.

Speaking (actually keying) from little experience, they can be manually converted. The track might seem to be the biggest prbolem if not suported by 12 but you can tell Surveyor to replace the double white broken lines representing the missing track with the track of your choice. A little research, a few clicks and that is done. Next, replace missing bridges, tunnels, crossings, etc.
You can have missing textures replaced in much the same way as the track.
By the time you are through you should have a much better layout.
