How do i change horn on a locomotive?

I switched the horn of a couple of locomotives and they don't use the horn I placed.

I switched the horn of a couple of locomotives and they don't use the horn I placed.

The process is really easy.

This is all done in Content Manager.

Choose the horn you like. Note the KUID Number, or better yet. View the config file (right-click on the asset and choose from the list), and copy the line that begins with Kuid.

Choose the engine you want to change. Clone it to make a working copy. You might want to choose a new name so you know the difference. New Asset is the default clone name, by the way.

Right click on your working copy, and choose Open for Edit in Explorer.
Windows Explorer will open up.
Look for the Config.txt file.
Edit that file by doube-clicking on it. By default Notepad will open.

Find the line that says Hornsound.
Write down that Kuid number
Highlight the Kuid line, and paste in the horn sound you want. (The one you copied originally).

Navigate to the bottom of the config.txt file, and find the same old Kuid number - the one you wrote down.

Update that number in the table to reflect your new horn sound.

Save the config.txt file. Overwrite if prompted.
Close the Explorer Window
Highlight the asset in Content Manager
Press-Ctrl+M to CoMmit the asset to the database.

Go drive your updated local and give the horn a try.
