Trainz only uses the centerline of the track not the track mesh.

Trainz is a little funky with physics sometimes

Given the yellow "X" in the screenshot, I would venture to say it can't.

this only happens as long as your copy of trainz is not registered yet. Once you have your copy registered, not only the loco will show up on proper rails - a full world is growing around with passenger stations, lots of trainz and so on.

But if you dont register your copy, then there is more odd things to appear on your screen ...
