Does any body knows how can I create a Backdrop?

Download a backdrop from the DLS and check into it to see how it is done

Look down, click "My Content" and search for "Do-it-yourself-backdrop". Download it, there is a "Read-me"-file describing how to do it.

In addition to vulcan's tutorial above, which was very helpful for my experiments with backdrops, I found in addition helpful for making backdrops:

David Drake has "invented" a trick how to make backdrop-pictures without going out and taking photos with a camera (very helpful when trainzing at rainy evenings). He simply builds Trainz-landscape and then uses screenshots of this scenery. That allows to use the same elements in the backdrop as well as in front of the backdrop = very good melting together of "real" objects and backdrop. As he says: " The blended background works well because the 2 D background image is composed of the same 3D elements as those that will be used in the foreground. "
