House Hunting

As I continue on with the Laurel Line project, I find my self in a great need of houses. I'm getting into more populated areas on the map, I need more variety of homes. I'm looking for US Houses from the first half of the 20th century. I've been using houses from Davesnow, Tlanders, Leeferr, and drickettes. I was wondering if anybody knows anybody else that made some nice houses? I thinking maybe there are some houses out there that I just didn't find yet.
Or, is there anybody out there that would like to make more houses?

Gorge Fisher has a lot of wonderful houses on the DLS, search is name: gfisher , and you should find them.

Scott,

For the region you are modeling, you may also want to look at buildings by Dom Sarto. These maybe Irish and English, but they are very appropriate - especially the row houses and brick Georgian style houses.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but I have been uploading turn of the century (1800 - 1900) building to tha DLS lately.

For some reason I never got any notifications for the replies on the thread. Anyway, I tried all suggestions and nothing seemed to click. I did use George Fishers houses, I forgot to mention his. Domsarto's houses are nice but are a bit too fancy for the coal regions of Pennsylvania. A lot of houses I have are too new to use.
As seen in the picture below I've still got a long way to go to complete this area.
Any other ideas?

Hi Scott,

Take a look at Mason Taylor's buildings. He's made coal-region buildings for northern England which are similar to the houses and buildings found in the Anthracite region.

Have a look at "aus house" on the DLS under my name. They might work and you can always reskin them.

It requires some searching, but a year and a half ago, or so, I found a number of items which struck me as being useful on a US map on the site <http://www.spaintrainzrutas.com/>. Items I found interesting enough to download at the time I found them were ~.cdp packs named "EDIFICIOS_URBANOS".

Thanks for all the suggestions! I did download some of kon1786's houses last night, I'll look into all the other suggestions in a bit.

I really want to see this route come to fruition, so i'll help out any way i can.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned Hobbyman350 or Shortline2. HM350's buildings are fairly new, most uploaded this summer i believe. Not many are actual "houses", but still you will be able to find uses for them, trust me ;).

Here's a couple of my favorites below:

Shortline2 made the unpainted house at the bottom, and Hobbyman350's models include the "company store" in the middle, and the two-toned brown house and the reddish house both on the left.

Good luck with your hunt!

Where is that screenshot taken?

That is from the Laurel Line Project...the Midvale area and the Prospect Breaker outside of Wilkes-Barre. I just heard the song "welcome to the boomtown" and for some unknown reason I added that to the screenshot.

I do have Hobbyman350's items, I'll look into the other two. Thanks!

So that would be The Wilkes-Barre Connecting Railroad Bridge In the Background? A.K.A The Gauntlet?

Why yes it is. I believe it's on the DLStation.
If you could give me a KUID Or name to look for that'd be great, as I've partially resurrected my CP Sunbury Sub Project. And I can't seem to find the right bridge for that.
