Hmm, Long Time , No See

The name does sound vaguely familiar. New Zealand let me think, Ah Grumpy is a distinct clue.

How's life? I've retired since last we emailed, definitely recommended.

By the TS2009/10 is much more tolerant of polys since it dumps more things down to the video card.

Well, I was 'medically retired' quite a bit ago. Mostly boredom if you ask me (the reason I may get back into Trainz) Mick (Pennsy) just got 2010 and was a bit dismayed it didn't support anything pre-2009 and all his stuff is 2006. I stated to him I may build some stuff for him (I assume 2009WBE stuff (which I have) will work with 2010EE)

I have heard of the Trees addition in other games. I may check out 2010EE if I can find the money someplace. I'm running dual core P4 @ 3Ghz with a NVIDIA GF 8800TOP so I don't think I will have a worry.

Funny I still have beta access, might get back into that also.

Cheers

TS2009 SP4 is missing the speedtree stuff but otherwise much the same as TS2010. Steam locos got better support in TC3 but that's in both TS2009 and TS2010.

Currently there is a lack of UK coaches pre BR time, N3V have just released the Duchess with some coaches but it hasn't had rave reviews. I think there is still a bit of room for decent payware but just watch the engine specs. Someone has a spreadsheet that gives semi reasonable results.

Well, it may be moot. Considering I installed 2009 (build 37625) and tried to put in the first patch (37625->40010 Retail->SP2) and all it does is reboot my system when I try to run the patch

Well, Guess I have to pay Mick back ... 2010 Registered

Hope it ALSO doesn't reboot my computer patching it.
(Still running Windows XP Professional)

You will need XP SP3 at a minimum to be able to patch TS2009 or TS2010. This is due to the patch using some of the functions/fixes that XP SP3 updated/fixed. If you haven't updated to SP3, then there is a possibility of it rebooting your computer.

Well, I was kinda surprised to see a whole bunch of my stuff (90 some odd items) BUILT-IN to 2010EE in the .jar's

I don't have to go looking for them :)
