Highway gradient tools

Good morning from New Jersey.
I am building a large route in TS2009, and am a little disappointed that there is no "set gradient" tool for highway splines like the one for track splines.
Funny that there should be a "remove gradient" tool though.

The only way I can see to set a gradient for highways is to use track splines first, set the gradient you want, smooth splines, then replace the track splines with highway splines. This will leave the gradient, and a smooth road bed for the highway.

Does anyone have a better idea?

Yes. Another solution is to find a highway created as track spline, if something like this exist.

I do,,,,simple!

to adjust heights of roadway splines,,,use the set gradient found ONLY in the TRACKS section, cause its not in roads....just like track, raise and lower to your hearts content, click on spline, set height, and smooth!

Actually some of the track spline tools work on any spline. Straighten spline is another one. I think the manual covers this but I'm not 100% certain I don't have one handy to check thru.

yep!

for the straighten tool, you need to go to TRACKS menu as well,,but the height, straighten etc... DO work FINE on roads...any splinage...



....'laid a few in me time'.....
