Highbeam question

Hi everyone!

I recently noticed that I can dim the loco's headlights(shift+l). Thats nice, but is it possible to make AI controlled trains use dimmed headlights too? I would like to make them use highbeams only when sun is set.
I tried some rules I found, but they didn't include option for dimmed lights.

BTW, Im playing TRS 2009 v.3.1 build 40040

I don't have an answer for you, but I would add to your question that I would like to have a ditch-light on and off command. I'd like to be able to activate them when coming into a passenger station (along with the bell), as the practice on the railroads around me in the real world. Not all locos have working ditch-lights, but the ones I'm using do. I'll have to try the high beam you mention. But it would be nice to have better lights control commands.

The ditch lights and highbeams are a function created by the original content creator. Joint Rail locos have the ditch lights active. Their Amtrak and MBTA F40s have them and they're awesome.

Yes, I reskinned the P48 for a fictional passenger service line and love that they have them (as well as other features, like the in-cab ATC warning light). But like Move67, I would like to see light control commands. Maybe contacting the loco asset developer would be a start? If enough people express and interest, someone with the necessary skills is bound to meet the challenge!

The ATC warnings and the light controls would be a cool add-on for more locomotives. I agree that's a job for the more able folks. ;)
