Hi I have a railfan question. I am staying in south deerfeld MA and was not sure if anyone knew where I could find any trains I could film or if there are any close by sorry this is not a "trainz" related subject but anyways please if you know respond ive looked all over youtube and all I get for searching "railfaning in south deerfeld MA is" "railfaning in southern FL". I am hoping to film a train with the new full HD camara I got for christmas
FYI I'm not leaving till thursday and the hotel I'm staying in has free wifi I heard its hampton so i might be still on the fourms if you replie later thats fine

ok maybe and accually I did overlook searching it :hehe: but I guess I might try to get down there I was wondering where those Pan am trains run

Hi Kenny,

If you have access to a ride, you can visit the East Deerfield yard.

You can't get in there directly but there's a 'railfan' bridge that crosses the throat of the yard.

Look for directions to McClelland Farm Road.

If you mean you're going to Northampton, which is a bit south of Deerfield, then you can see the Amtrak Vermonter go through Amherst. It's on the other side of 91, but right along Route 9. UMass Amherst has a station from which you can film.
