Helpful Hint

I've been working on a map that has a lot (I mean a LOT) of assets that I don't want to use and I don't want to replace them with anything. So I came up with an idea to delete all of them that really works. In CM I marked the asset(s) as disabled. Open the map in surveyor and delete all missing assets. Save the update. Go back into CM and enable the assets I had just previously disabled. Done deal.

Good tip Chili
often I download a route and find out it has hundreds of ground textures, where maybe 20 would suffice
same for placed cars and trailers.
I always install a route first, then go through the dependencies I really want,
filter out huge and PBR items, and install only those that I think are essential to the route
then indeed delete missing items and if needed fill the gaps of things I filtered.
End results: less download, less unused over the top items and faster loading/better performing route

BTW GM, I took your advice and have SP3 and SP4 installed. Now I can check my routes and sessions on each to see how they perform (or don't perform). You input is very much appreciated.
