Why can't I get my content manager to work? I click on it and it tells me it stopped working. I click find a solution and it just closes without doing anything.

Firstly, which version & build of Trainz are you running ?
Secondly, what version of Windows are you using ?

Firstly, what video card do you have or are using? Or is it an IGP?
Secondly, what operating system?
Thirdly, have you used the manufacture drivers?
CMP requires the Open GL drivers to be present in order to work, you can check this by going to the Trainz folder, then running TrainzDiag.exe. If it fails on the Open GL part, then you cannot run CMP at all and you also have the Windows drives (which are only geared towards Direct X, a competitor to Open GL).
If you do have the Open GL drivers, give it several hours! Bizzare as it sounds, if you go away, make a cup of coffee and watch a movie, it should open when you get back.
There is a reason, its rebuilding the assets.tdx file which is a database of all the assets you have, one slight knock and CMP and Trainz rebuilds the whole lot from scratch.
