Help with track size

Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbie here and I've just started making my own proto route. I'm planning to build one of India's cities and was wondering if there were any broad gauge tracks and locomotives available for them... Also, does the FPS depend on the number of trains running in a session? Simulating an actual terminus will have me run atleast 40 trains for a 1 hour session, and I don't want my CPU to stutter because of this.

Thanks for your help,
Overlord

P.S - Anyone out there interested in creating indian content for trainz?

Hmm, there's broadgauge track on the DLS and locomotives as well, but as far as I know mainly english. (since India was an english colony this could well be usable). Since this is your first post you are maybe not aware of the Darjeeling project (two foot gauge) that will certainly be of interest to you.:)

Greetings from sunny Amsterdam,

Jan

Thank you Jananton and tardis626 for ur help,

I've downloaded the tracks, but couldn't find any broad gauge diesel or electric locomotives, so I guess I'll stick to standard gauge. As an engineering graduate student, I unfortunately don't have the time to create my own locos..

@Jan - I've heard about the Darjeeling project, but I guess I'm too young to appreciate steam power, I grew up with Diesel and Electric locos and find them 'better' than steam....And the real life darjeeling rail is a historical preserved railroad, and nowhere else in India do we use steam or narrow gauge anymore...
