Help with patching.

The multicolour issue can be resolved using one of my tutorials - see the thread in my signature for details.

As for the others, you will need to check those in Content Manager - search for Faulty : True.

Hello Shane,
Searched for Faulty:True and there they were. Each had missing assets. Kuid 177548:15999, Kuid 177548:68001, Kuid 177548:68004 and Kuid 177548:68014. My head now hurts and I'm going to bed 'cos I don't know what to do next. Night

Hello, Shane,
Followed your guidance in tutorial and the multicolouring has now cleared up, thank you. I'm not sure what I can do about the missing kuids though. I only bought them a couple of days ago.

Hello Shane,
I feel sure the problem is situated somewhere in CDP. Each time I start, it starts up with "Amending Database" momentarily and when I close it down, it never does. I get a message saying it is not responding - do I want to close it down. On top of that, when I import a CDP file, it gets as far as telling me it is down loading and there it sticks. My ultimate question therefore is, if I uninstall TRAINZ 1009 and re install it, will I be confronted with a brand new, nothing's been touched, pure virgin, CDP that I can get stuck into afresh? Bear in mind that my sanity relies heavily on your answer.
Yours aye
Peter

In most cases, yes. Be aware though that if the problem is asset related, simply reimporting assets may cause the problem to reoccur.

Hello Shane,
After much deliberation, I've decided to upgrade. That way, there could be no remnants of TS2009 left to muck up the system. I have used Trainz to reflect the 1920s era of LMS, with the help of others, changing car traffic from modern to 1920s and importing locomotives bearing the LMS motif - (I do hate the BR motif). I've got used to the TS2009 way of life and am a little worried that TS2012 will be quite different and may not offer what the old system did. Are you familiar with 2012?
Peter

There are differences between the two (including loss of compatibility mode), but I am familiar with TS12 so can advise if needed.

Its kinda late, but as far as I know, Windows 8 does not support TS2010. Try updating to Windows 8.1 (its free if u have Win8 Pro) or downgrade to Windows 7. About the update, I reinstalled the update several times and it worked, donk know why.

Dennis you shouldn't have a problem as TS2010 should work fine.

Do the following:

Run all exes, including patches as administrator and install outside of C:\Program Files (x86) path.

I put my TS12 in D:\N3V\TS12 for example.

With this setup, you should be fine if your video card and everything else is compatible.
