Help: Spline artifacts.

Make Trainz Great Again
Hello.

After forcing TRS22 to shut down as the installation of Pennsylvania & Berwind deps was eating lots of HDD, and as a result, I repaired the Database (surprisingly it was an EDBR taking into account that it took around 4-4.5 hours), and once I started to launch routes, I find these artifacts.

The funny thing is that before that, these glitches haven't existed. Is anything I'm doing wrong regarding video setup?

Setup is this with Windows 10 with 22H2: https://es.pcpartpicker.com/list/rpLyLc

Thanks in advance.

I would not expect a forced shutdown or an EDBR to change the video settings.

An EDBR will perform a full compliance check on all installed assets, hence the 4+ hours it took if you have a large number of assets. It is possible (even likely) that your forced shutdown has left the asset database with some damaged assets which are now flagged as faulty.

The first thing I would do is open Content Manager and set its Search Filter to display all faulty assets. I would then highlight all those faulty assets (or a sub group of them if there are too many), right mouse click on any one of them and then select the option "Revert to Original".

It looks like your graphics settings got mixed up.

Change your Texture detail setting on the Launcher to Basic. Basic is the old Standard and what you are seeing is PBR textures doing what PBR textures do.

Since you ran a DBR that turned into an EDBR, I recommend checking Content Manager for 'Faulty assets'. If you have any, these aren't missing assets or assets missing assets, these are faulty, right-click on them and view errors and warnings. This will clear up those usually. It's caused by something resetting in the database and we've seen this since TRS2009.

Well... It all fixed up by itself. Don't ask me why. I understand less and less the craziness of this game.

Your performance settings are fine, I have Shadow Quality turned set to off and Shader Quality set to Standard.
Ultra settings is generally used for Ultra 4K monitors

When Trainz crashes for me or if I have to force Trainz to crash, while working on a route or session. I always launch Content Manager first, change the Installed filter to Open for Edit | right click and revert to original "Yes, I will lose the work I had already done" but these things happen. I am just saving myself a lot of problems caused by running the database repair if I am required to do so after Trainz crashing

To help reduce crashing: Note, this works for all your games and other software.

Nvidia Contral Panel
Manage 3D Settings
Click on the "Program Settings" tab
Add Trainz exe file, example trs22.exe
Set the processor to "Nvidia high performance processor"
Click Apply

-----------
If the ground paint texture is from either the DLS or 3rd party. Uninstall it, run the advanced database repair, reinstall the assets that should resolve the problem above, I hope.
