Help... Please! Built in assets not working...

I'm using Trainz 2010 and all the BUILT-IN content is not loading.. I'm confused.. it says it's faulty in the CM.. Sigh and showing up RED in game lol - Will do anything to make Trainz 2010 become decent again..

Try opening CM select all builting content and right click then view error's and warnings.

Hi Inn. I think you may have to go to 2010 files with explorer, delete assets.TDX file and then do a extended database repair which may take more than 30mins. 2010 seems to need these repairs fairly regularly so take note when things are not going right. One or more faulty assets seem tobe able to slow things down considerably.

No need to delete anything. In CM3.3 under file you will find two choices for performing a DBR. Pick one. The extended version can take a while if you have a lot of errors. Also, if you have any original (created by you) or modified routes that you want to retain save them as CDP's first. An EDBR can wreak havoc on modified assets.

Actually if you have opened these assets and then commited them you can have them show errors.

All builtin assets that you have opened must use Revert choice when trying to commit them so they aren't exposed to the normal error checking as builtins are not normal assets.

DIdn't work.. I deleted the file and it reloaded the database.. ugh - Oh Trainz 2010 how I hate you! Help me guys!

The assets.btk or w/e file in the Auran Folder..

Yikes - restore that file(s) ASAP, as they store all user information, as well as the database.

Once your assets.tdx/.bku files are back in place - it may be worth reverting any modified built-in assets to original.

Also try an extended database repair if you haven't already.

If the built-in assets are showing as faulty, use View Errors and Warnings to check what errors they have.

The advice given relating to deleting assets.tdx/assets.bku is only to be used in TRS2006 or possibly Trainz Classics. It must not be used in TS2009 or later, as the files store vital information as well as the database.

Trainz 2006 was a GREAT GREAT game you ruin it with SIMPLE errors from 2010 and then you RUIN 2012 by making it not work.. Basically how you should RUN a company is IMPROVE your games.. not make them worst..

So, tell us about the company that you run and how well it is doing.

Maybe it was something YOU did to break your game.

How can you complain about TS12..... you do NOT seem to have it registered.

Perhaps you have not heard.... Auran does NOT exist.... it is N3V.

Like that's totally not, like, true, you know. I mean, fer sure. Like, there's like a sticky, like, in the TS2010 forum, like, that's been there, like, a really long time, like, and says, like, what to do, like, with assets, like that incorrectly appear as, like, totally faulty.

Shane I beg to differ. I have deleted assets TDX a number of times and done a EDR. Each time it has fixed itself>this is for 2009 and 2010 which I mainly work in. Have,nt had to do it in 12 yet but I will do it if needed. Why do you say not to? I can understand the BKU file. I have never touched that!!!
