Help newbie with roads please

Hi

I am new to Trainz and Trains 2010 and i am "running into the wall" when it comes to use roads.

1. I have noticed that i cannot get object ID of roads with the function Get Object!

2. Are there any basic road items which are recommended to download?

3. Have been looking for a basic road instruction/help file but cannot find any.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Roads, Fences, Powerlines....etc are not considered Objects they are Splines. Click the second icon next to the house icon in the object menu. Then place two points and that's your road or fence. Mess around with different spline tools for effect.

I'm staggered how much content TS2010 has.
I didn't bother with TS2009 so that might explain it.

In previous versions of Trainz I always needed to go to the download station to get the roads and fences that I needed, but TS2010 has so many you'll be spoilt for choice.

Click the Icon Hert mentions, type ROAD into the filter, and spend a good hour playing with all the different ones.

Thank you Hert and Smiley. Splies just opened a new dimension to me

As a complete beginner i am missing a very basic step by step instruction using the most common features. The build in help is not very intuitive.
