Help - lost months of work again!

I had a strange thing happen yesterday.

Following months of running 2009 with no problems, yesterday, every time I tried to load 2009, the computer crashed to a blue screen with a continual beeping sound. (Vista)

I cured it by saving the "local" folder, reloading 2009, then service pack and I then imported the content back from the saved " local" folder.

My problem now is that I had been working on a route FOR MONTHS, and had almost completed it. I attempted to load it in surveyor and I get a message telling me that the map is "broken" or has elements missing.

I am unable to get into my route, despite saving a second backup copy under a different name.

Can I get back into it or have I lost MONTHS of work YET again?:(

First of all: DON"T PANIC. 2009 saves into the CM2 database, and the route is probably still in there somewhere.

Second: PANIC! That beeping sound is telling you you have a component problem in your PC. It is highly likely one of your hardware pieces is close to failure. High temperatures is the usual culprit.

Well for the panic bit, It was only attempting to go into Trainz that was causing the problem, and since reloading trainz it doesn't happen, so I was thinking it was buggering up the graphics or something. The computer seems to be stable now.

I do know that the maps are there, they are showing in the Surveyer and driver index, but how can I avoid the error message and load them?

Yep - tried that too.

I have also gone through the whole process of reloading 2009-SP1-import content-repair database again, and still it tells me the map is "broken?"
