HELP I'm stuck

I having terrible problems with trainz. 2010 ee build 44088.
I bought the program and installed and long story short it wouldn't run. then after about 10hrs of looking around in the forums I found a few fixes direct x 9c and about the content manager. also added some lines in the optionstxt file no intro and directx line. seemed to help I got it running and runs quick. started to make a layout and saved it. got up this morning to work on again and trainz is doing the same crap wont run. so I unistalled and reinstalled. this time i made sure nothing was runing in the background I mean nothing. Did a clean install. and after about 130 minutes I started the program. same crap. taked 15 to 20 minutes per menu and then it crashed. went to content manager to do a database repair and trying to run it again. Im running a gateway amd phenom x4 with 2.0 gig with 4 gig of ram and a nividea 9400 gt 2 gig card. for god sake i run flightsim x with no problems and that program has got to be the bug capital of software. something is wrong it's hanging looking for something. when i did have it runing i ran fine no sluging or stutters like i have read about. my problem seems to be waiting on menus for 15 or 20 minutes. If im luky to get it running is seams to run fine. sorry for all the typos very frustrated and angry right now. need some help.

Is it the Boxed version or is it a digital download? If so when did you download it?

If you look in the topic of tutorials missing in TS2010 EE, you can see a lot of people have trouble (including me, mine is from 20/12 aswell) with that installer. No tutorials showing up is one thing, maybe your problem could well be fixed if you download the new installer they uploaded yesterday, seemed to fix the tutorial problem.

But let's wait for someone else's point of view before downloading 5gig's again.

Welcome to the sometimes frustrating World of Trainz, most of us wouldn't have it any other way though

Are there any tutorials in your copy? I'm asking as apparently several people downloaded the digital version in the last few days and it was missing the Tutorials and probably a few other bits, apparently the installer was messed up. Auran got onto it quickly and have replaced the download to correct the problem, yesterday I think, details in one of the "no tutorials threads" downloading it again seems to have solved the missing tutorials, I wouldn't mind betting you have got caught by the same download.

Delays in things loading is fairly normal until everything is cached, it gets quicker the more you use it.
There is also a rather annoying database management program TadDaemon and its pal TrainzUtil that continue doing things after you have closed the program, depends on how long you have been doing things for, best to wait a minute or so before shutting the PC. You can see what they are up to by enabling the database process Window in the Launcher Developer Options.
