hi ive noticed there are no people on stations and livestock on the fields ..another thing is how do you activate online live chat ,,

For people on stations, use AJS invisible stations & for livestock on the fields, you can fnd plenty of livestock on the DLS, just put it in your fields.

You will be too busy building routes or driving trains to worry about 'on line chat', this forum is all you will need. :D

The DLS is the Download Station which is some 160,000 trainz assets (kuids) located on Auran's file server. You access it using the games content managers, TRS2006 (CMP) or TS2009 (CM2) or TS2010 (CM3.3). To see some platform stations that you can download and use, open your content manager and in the Search Action Panel on the left, click the left pulldown box arrow and select Name and in the right box enter platform so see 1500+ station platforms. AJS is the initials of one of the creators of platforms. His username is andi06. To limit your search to only his platforms, in the Search Action Panel click the + in the box to open a second box and select Author then inter andi06 in the data box.

Down Load Station (sorry, you'll get used to the Auran language in time.....)!

I think he means AJ as a creator/author/provider of objects available to download.

Accessed from CM3.3! (that's content manager 3.3 that opens when you choose "content" from the opening menu, or from the top of the forum here-the "Download Station" tab. Can also be accesses from the Auran website.

CM gives a more user friendly method of finding what's downloadable than the DLS (though some usere prefer the other method, and download using FTP(!)

(Thats file transfer protocol, for which you need a download manager program, there's many free ones....)

If you download sessions (as opposed to just maps/routes) created by other authors/creators, you'll generally find people and animals/vehicles/hot air balloons/aircraft/ships etc etc already set up.

When you see a session listed it looks like one item, but if you start downloading you'll find it then needs perhaps hundreds of files- Known as dependancies-which CM will find for you IF they are loaded onto the Auran site.

Gets more difficult when people make routes using stuff on their computer that's not on the Auran site. An engine has many sub files, and won't work, or even show up on a map, if they're not all there, including say whistle sounds, bogies etc.

One thing to note, at least in 2006, some of the livestock and wildlife which comes already in the program is named in the language of wherever its creator lives.
